The BL160 weigher incorporates
a robust housing with three inspection doors, inside which the weigh
hopper and pneumatically operated discharge door are supported by two DTI
approved shear beam load cells. The material to be weighed is contained in
a hopper, usually above the weigher, and passed into the weigher by means
of a two-speed feeder. Various sizes are available for weighing most dry
materials in discharges between 10 kg and 100 kg.
Approximately 90% of the
weighment takes place in fast feed and the remainder in slow feed to
ensure accurate cut off. The fast/slow ratio ensures a high total
throughput of material. The weigh hopper can discharge into a sack holder
or into customer equipment or process.
